Hutchison Book Cover Redesign

I was asked to redesign a book cover for a book I have read for this project, and of course I chose to do Dot Hutchison's The Butterfly Garden. I absolutely loved this book, as it is a twisted thriller and suspenseful crime fiction. I wanted to really focus on the expressive feel of this book, which I why I especially paid attention to the type, color scheme, and illustration of the book. Here I included my final design in action and conceptual sketches.
